At your first visit to Cohle Performance Chiropractic, Dr. Chad Cohle will explain the science behind how chiropractic care works, and give you a full evaluation to see if chiropractic care is right for you. If there is a good fit, we can develop a plan of chiropractic care that is specific to your condition and health goals.
Dr. Cohle specializes in the Active Release Technique. A.R.T.® is a patented, non-invasive soft tissue treatment process that identifies and removes scar tissue and adhesions that have been known to cause pain, stiffness, muscle weakness, numbness and biomechanical dysfunctions associated with repetitive strains and injuries. Practitioners must be certified by attending seminars, receiving expert hands-on training and passing both a vigorous written test and a hands-on technique examination. The majority of professional sports teams (N.B.A, N.H.L, N.F.L, M.L.B, P.G.A Tour etc) have a health care provider certified in A.R.T.® This specialized type of treatment is the "go-to" for many professional athletes because it significantly cuts down their injury time. The goals of A.R.T.® are:
Restore optimal tissue texture, tension and movement
Restore strength, flexibility, function and ability of muscles to move freely around each other
Release any soft tissue adhesions, entrapped nerves and restricted lymph/circulatory structures
While this technique is fantastic for athletes, it works just as well with those who are not as active as high school, college or professional athletes. Common conditions that see great results with A.R.T.® include shin splints, plantar fasciitis, ankle sprains, low back pain/sciatica, neck pain, mid-back pain, rotator cuff injuries, golfer's elbow, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, migraines and any sprains, strains or muscle “pulls”. Combining chiropractic with A.R.T.® provides an extra level of care, as the two complement each other very well.

Dr. Chad Cohle D.C
Dr. Chad Cohle is the owner of Cohle Performance Chiropractic. His practice was established in the Harrisburg/Lower Paxton area on March 1, 2013. Dr. Cohle is a native Central Pennsylvania resident, growing up in the Harrisburg and Hummelstown area. He attended Lower Dauphin High School, where he played volleyball, football and basketball. Dr. Cohle's passion and dedication to athletics lead him to Susquehanna University, where he also played basketball and was nominated as a co-captain his senior year. After witnessing the frustration of injuries and the common nagging pains that athletes go through year after year, Dr. Cohle knew he wanted to be a part of a profession that could help athletes eliminate that pain and actually improve their performance.
During his years playing basketball at Lower Dauphin and getting knocked around, he began experiencing sharp pains between his shoulder blades that severely limited his training. This injury led him to a chiropractor who explained the benefits of good posture and chiropractic adjustments. After seeing incredible relief, Dr. Cohle knew this was the profession that could help him reach out to other athletes struggling with injuries.
Dr. Cohle attended Palmer College of Chiropractic - Florida and graduated Cum Laude in December 2012. Continuing his passion for treating athletes, Dr. Cohle was a member and constant participator in Sports Council, traveling to many sporting events around the area and treating athletes. He continued to seek out the best techniques for getting athletes healthy by becoming full-body certified in Active Release Technique, as well as using cutting edge Erchonia Cold Light Laser technology that helps to regenerate and heal damaged cells and offering top of the line nutrition supplements and advice.
Dr. Cohle currently resides in the Harrisburg area and continues to stay active by working out and playing recreational sports. When not in the office, he loves to watch college basketball (Go Tarheels!), attend music concerts, play golf, eat healthy and try new foods.
