Dr. Jeffrey Gerdes
Dr. Gerdes chose to be a Chiropractor because of a personal experience he had with chiropractic.
He was planning on attending physical therapy school when he injured his low back. He was waking up in the middle of the night with back pain and was not getting relief from the muscle relaxers and pain medication he was taking. So, he made an appointment with his families chiropractor and was amazed how knowledgeable he was of the problem and how fast the pain disappeared after he began treatment. This inspired Dr. Gerdes to investigate chiropractic medicine further because he wanted to help others the way he had been helped through chiropractic care.
Dr.Gerdes is the clinic director of Carolina ChiroCare and Rehab. He is a graduate of Palmer College, the oldest and most recognized chiropractic college in the world. Dr. Gerdes specializes in providing gentle, safe, chiropractic treatment for a wide variety of conditions. With many years of chiropractic training and education under his belt, Dr. Gerdes has treated hundreds of patients with conditions ranging from whiplash to fibromyalgia , sciatica to herniated discs to neck and back pain. Dr. Gerdes has had great success with these conditions and many others. He has treated professional and collegiate athletes, MMA fighters, tri-atheletes, as well as the weekend warriors like himself. Dr. Gerdes is dedicated to providing the best chiropractic care in Raleigh and the triangle area, and is committed to relieving your pain. Dr. Gerdes has a genuine concern for your well-being. Dr. Gerdes has studied extensively under the American College of Sports Medicine, to provide athletes with rehabilitative care and enhanced performance. He treats many patients for sore knees, hips and shoulders. Dr. Gerdes's experience working in an Urgent Care medical facility gave him first hand experience on treatment of trauma and injury following an auto accident. Dr. Gerdes is always furthering his post doctorate education to provide the best possible care. He recently completed advanced continuing education from the Spine Research Institute in San Diego on Whiplash and Mild Traumatic Brain Injury. He has taken post-doctoral courses in radiology and neurology from Harvard Medical School.
